M AVREL ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT Laureate bust r., with drapery on l. shoulder; Rv. VOTA PVBLICA / S - C Caracalla, togate and veiled, standing front, head to l., sacrificing out of patera in his r. hand over tripod altar and holding roll in his l.; behind tripod, bull prostrate l. RIC 513; Cohen 677. Wonderful light green patina with reddish hues. Slight traces of old, delicate cleaning, otherwise good extremely fine. Powerful portrait.
