The department explores the world of jewellery and gemmology, with attention to its historical, artistic, and scientific aspects.
Our staff's efforts are aimed at putting together an articulate selection in which, alongside classic collectors' pieces, both antique and modern, there is also room for contemporary creations with innovative designs and unmounted gems of particular interest.
In particular, the department seeks and offers:
antique and vintage jewellery;
jewellery by the great goldsmiths' brands from the 1920s to the present day;
design jewellery;
artist jewellery.
A selection of unmounted jewellery and gems in every price range is always available at the department and can be purchased by private sale.
In addition, all lots with an estimate of €1,500 or more are checked against the Art Loss Register database.
