Galley with aquila on prow and sceptre tied with fillet on stern; in the background, pharus of Messana surmounted by statue of Neptune, holding trident and rudder, placing l. foot on prow; around, MAG·PIVS – [IMP ITER]; Rv. Sea monster Scylla wielding rudder with both hands; around, partially ligate, [PRÆ]F·ORÆ·MARI]T·EX·S·C. Crawford 511/4a; Babelon (Pompeia) 22; Sydenham 1348. Very fine.
