 DIVO / AVGVSTO / S P Q R Augustus seated left in quadriga of elephants with riders, holding branch in his right hand and sceptre in his left. Rv. TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVST P M TR POT XXXVII around large S C. RIC² 62 (Tiberius); Cohen 307; BMC 108. Lovely emerald green patina with areas of reddish-brown. In exceptional condition for the issue. A finely detailed obverse composition. Well-struck on a large flan. Light traces of old, delicate cleaning. Good extremely fine. One of the best specimens known.
